Why do my outdoor taps and hot water system rust out so fast near the water?

My drain keeps blocking even after it is cleared. What is going on?
On the old sandflats, groundwater and fine sand work into any cracked joint and silt the line from the inside, which is why a clear can come back within weeks. A camera finds the break, and relining or sealing it is what stops the sand for good.
Does the low coastal strip really flood in storms?
Yes, this flat ground sits low against the bay, so storm surge and heavy rain overwhelm the constrained stormwater drainage and push water back toward low streets and yards. When it happens we clear the surcharged gully traps and pits quickly.
Why is digging up a pipe here more involved than inland?

I can smell gas. What should I do?
Do not flick switches or light any flames. Leave the property and call from outside, and we will talk you through isolating the supply at the meter and get a plumber to you quickly.
My toilet is overflowing and will not stop. Can I do anything?
Turn off the small isolation tap behind the pan to cut its water, and do not flush again. Then call, and we will clear the blockage and camera the line behind it so it does not repeat.

My water bill jumped but I cannot see a leak. Can you find it?
Yes, a hidden leak under a slab or inside a wall often shows up only as a rising meter reading. We use pressure testing and acoustic detection gear to pinpoint it and open only the spot that needs it.
What is the difference between my stormwater and sewer drains?
Stormwater carries rain off your roof and yard out to the street or a soak pit, while the sewer takes waste from toilets, sinks and showers to the main. They are separate systems by law, and we work on both.
